Dr. Caruso received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University, and went on to study with Robert J. Sternberg at Yale University. He has published numerous scientific articles. He is a co-author, with John D. Mayer and Peter Salovey, of the Mayer-Caruso-Salovey Emotional Intelligence (MSCEIT).

Dr. Panter received her Ph.D. from New York University and is a quantitative psychologist and member of the L. L. Thurstone Psychometric Laboratory at UNC. She has published widely in statistical and methodological issues, ethics of data analysis, and personality psychology.

Dr. Mayer received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University and went on to postdoctoral studies at Stanford University. His research is focused in personality psychology.
